Bretagne 1982.
19-year-old Peter, driving back to the ferry, picks up 21-year-old Lucy who is hitch-hiking to her new job. As the afternoon passes, and despite a spiky and uncomfortable start, a brief romance begins between these two damaged young people
From the present day, and invisible to the young couple, Old Peter and Old Lucy accompany them, reviewing the day and the actions of their younger selves.
An unexpected and shocking ending examines the idea of false memory and inescapable mortality.
